Dr. Phillips is a community in southwest Orange County, bounded roughly by Sand Lake Road to the north, Turkey Lake Road to the east, and the theme park corridor to the west. The area takes its name from Dr. Philip Phillips, a citrus grower who owned extensive land in the area in the early 20th century. Today, Dr. Phillips is best known for Sand Lake Road's Restaurant Row, a concentrated stretch of dining establishments that includes dozens of restaurants ranging from casual to upscale.
